Jack|SQ Returns to KL... & Scott's B'day!!!

(Blog Update For The Yummiest Donuts by Krispy Kreme...)

Remember Jack Lim? Well some of you may have known him through his blog but i certainly knew him well before this blogging world! Anyways, Jack one of my closest friends - more like a brother to me just returned back from Sydney Australia for his summer holidays here. Previously he was from HELP UC, and i took him in to be an intern here at Xfresh (ASTRO) for a while and experience how its like in the entertainment / media industry... (ahh.. this the part where you go... "ahhh no wonder i saw him before in shaz's blog posts at certain media events.." LOL...) neways... the story goes...like this!

He recently came back right after his exams... and we went for tea and he brought a box of Krispy Kreme donuts for me to have!!! OMG... this was like the moment... that i've been waiting for! Well 2 moments actually, one which is to eat Krispy Kreme donuts (the one that i've heard so much about from everyone) - thanks to Jack i get to savour this awesome thing they call DONUT! The other is to sit down with this chap after long time never seen him as he went to Aussie to further his studies.

So here are the photos...sorry arr if the Krispy Kreme Donuts that you're looking at here are too YUMMY!!! Mwahhahaha...

He returns with a box of Krispy Kreme donuts... when i saw it and i found out that it was KRISPY KREME... i was astonished!!! Surprised...OMG...

Thx bro, thx to you I get to taste Krispy Kreme!!! I wonder why they spell it as "doughnuts"... hmm!!!

You mean the size of the donuts? Well its slightly bigger than J.Co or Big Apple's donuts... but sugar content is confirmed twice HIGHER! Mwhahah... SUGAR RUSH yO!!!

Guess how much each of those donuts costs... well they are around AU$ 2 sumthin each... if i am not mistaken close to AU$3. Hmmm... that's like wayyyy so expensive! So what to do... we Malaysians go for J.Co or Big Apple!

Some of the varieties of the donuts that they have at Krispy Kreme... i love chocolates!!!

The fillings inside each donut is different and is super sweet! The sugar / dietary content of each donut is stated at the bottom of each KK boxes!

This is the strawberry berry donut! HEhehe.. named that myself! Its so so so SWEET!

Jack said... don't eat so much! Later diabetic! I agree... too much of sugar but the hype is so so so WELL! I mean about KK Donuts!

Thank you thank you thank you!!! Krispy Kreme was awesome...!

You can never know how much happiness and joy can donuts such as this bring joy to one another!

Pastamania - Quick Casual Dining...

(Blog Update For 29th November 2007)

Pastamania, Singapore's chain of restaurant serving GREAT Italian Cuisine at affordable prices! Yes you heard me right... What's the FIRST thing that comes up in your mind when you hear "ITALIAN FOOD"... YES!

You got that right... "Pricey..."... mwhahaha!!! Well, all of that has changed ever since Pastamania opened their first outlet in Malaysia right here in Pavilion! Second outlet is in Gurney Plaza Penang and the third coming up soon at Bukit Tinggi Jusco.

Have your lunch here at Pastamania with prices as low as RM6.90 and my favourite pasta here at Pastamania is tha Bacon Aglio (Turkey Bacon) which is running at RM12.90 - and you can upsize your pasta - add an additional RM3.50 (if i am not mistaken)... and there's this "OPENING SPECIAL PROMOTION" where if you get any pasta and buy a drink together with it - you'll get free a bowl of the soup of the day and garlic bread. Yes...it's actually a lil' bit cheaper than the mamak that i used to go to last time in Tmn. Megah near the old LimKokWing!

Well, tell you what... you have to try it out yourself in order to know what i'm talking about... Pastamania is not your ordinary restaurant that serves normal Italian food... but this restaurant actually specializes in a whole lot of different gourmet food from Italy and only USES THE BEST ingredients imported from Italy and other parts of the world to get the best taste, aroma and texture for the foods served here. Yes, its true... they even use BARILLA which is Italy's #1 pasta brand...

Pastamania's stand is "We aim to make good quality Italian food conveniently available at prices readily affordable to most people." - Anyways, today was the 2nd consecutive day that i had my lunch at Pastamania Pavilion, but i was in a rush! And they served my meal in a jiff!!! That was fast... anyways the meal that i had was very satisfying, the cream of chicken soup had REAL chicken chunks in 'em... the garlic bread was ok - the pasta that i had was AWESOME!

Make your way there to Pastamania today, you can reserve tables there! For more info about Pastamania, more updates about this restaurant coming up soon! But for now let's look at my awesome morning / lunch at Pastamania Pavilion last thursday for their official grand launching! Was invited by my confreres at RantauPR to cover this launch and enjoy the FOOOODD!!!

Here's the group of Pastamania's chef's and partners together with 2 members of the media at the entrance of Pavilion and the bikers!!!

The grand launch of Pastamania attended by many members of the press, invited guests and best of all great company of my friends from RantauPR and Richard from Spotlite magazine. (L-R: Joanne, Subashni, JC, Jualia, Adeline, Richard andShaz...).

Pastamania only uses the best ingredients from all over the world... all for you!!!

Wahhh look at the scoreboard! Is this real??? I'm sure it is!!!

Time to have a look at how appetizing the pasta is!!! Unfortunately i am not able to take a nice photo on this day due to lighting and other circumstances! - btw this is my favourite Bacon Aglio fettucini!

Here's a mixture of the cream sauce and tomato sauce pasta with chicken sausage!!!
The environment here at Pastamania is very nice and pleasing, cozy too...
During the launch of the Pastamania here at the Pavilion... there was a "Malaysian" version of the STOMP performance... using all these local materials to produce great sound!

By the way, i met up with Patrick over here... bumped into him in between J.co and Pastamania... unfortunately bro you're a bit too late! Food finished edi... :(

The high commissioner of Singapore Mr Jasudasen officiating the grand launching of Pastamania here at the Pavilion. By the way Mr. Jasudasen is actually my schoolmate's father... Andrew, Claire and Diana Jasudasen way back in school @ the British School of Paris.

There were also 4 chefs of Pastamania all the way from Singapore that came by to do a cooking demonstration for the members of the media and cookout!!! The food are AWESOME!

Some of the ingredients used to make the pasta for the on-site cooking demonstration on this day!

By the way... one night after my shift at the studio! I had supper with Kingsley at McD!

And here's Jee Yan! Look at our tired faces... too early in the morning la!!! Mwhahaa..

Pastamania's Commitment:
Here at PastaMania, we work closely with many excellent brands, using only the very best ingredients found all over the world, to create that famous 'PastaMania' experience you love so much. Our purchasing team toils relentlessly, seeking and negotiating with various suppliers and producers from a multitude of countries, often having to speak in different languages to find ingredients that match up to what we call the ‘PastaMania Standard’.
Our Research and Development team then takes over; first testing and assessing the product, ensuring it is of sufficient quality before the recipe is produced. Then experimenting with alternative recipes, trying out and put to trial to a panel of Food Testers and Critics over and over again, before the final recipe is decided.
Finally, streamlining and developing the work process for that particular product, and put to trial once again, before it is presented to our precious customers. So, you see, more often than not, only Brands that are widely recognized to be of quality can possibly survive this series of arduous and demanding tests. And people often wonder why we smile with such pride when we see our customers enjoying our food.

The weekend was quite a long one with events all over the place... I had like 30 tickets to the A1GP race but i was too busy to spread the word about the tickets in advance due to me being too busy around here and there! Seriously... i don't even have tim to myself... no time to read the newspaper! Training here and there, work here n there... OMG! May those people who give me more work have mercy on me!

A1GP Malaysia 23-25 November 2007

(Blog Update For 25th November 2007 - Sepang Circuit)
The sky was blue, the sun was shining high up... the A1GP flag was flying up high in the sky... this was the day that many Malaysians and other viewers are waiting all around the world to find out who is the winner of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport for Sepang Circuit 2007 this year...

Well, we found out who it was didn't we... well here i am giving you my side of the story... the day was really HOT! I've been having a really tight schedule for this week! Events to cover here and there, i just can't believe that i'm doing like 3 persons job! Seriously... that i will come to talk about it later on but for now let me share with you my experience here at the A1GP Final Race!

A1GP was our client for this year and we as one of the official stations to promote the A1GP Sepang Circuit 2007 this year, we had the chance to go on ground to cover their events from top to bottom! And so we did... from their proton test track event, to canoe'ing in Putrajaya, the final race and many more. There was no problem in covering the event as we had full credentials! This means full access to the Sepang Circuit!

Now that's interesting! I was given a parking pass which has "AAA" labelled on it... this was way better than VIP or VVIP! We had the chance to park my car right at the paddock! Just right behind the garage where they keep the A1 cars! This was totally awesome... Other people only received access for parking at P3 Media area but we got AAA! Oh well...

Media credentials to cover the event! Only myself and Joshua got MEDIA credentials, the rest of my friends who came in on this day were given a MAIN GRANDSTAND pass! This was awesome as well, cause this was how real it got! The most expensive ticket that is! Anyways... continue reading on down here to find out more about my HOT day EXPERIENCE at Sepang Circuit!

By the way, the awesome part was i got the chance to go on the grid / track itself to take photos of the vehicles and all prior to the race!

Here's the Ferrari Safety Car that was used in the A1GP 2007 event this year...

The safety car up-close!!! I just wished i can drive this car to work!!! Mwhahahah...

Another one of the safety cars used here on the day! Why have 2? What if one breaks down or wat... mwahah!!!

Everyone was having so much fun to take pictures with the Ferrari... when is my turn?

Adam Carroll from Ireland looking pretty much anxious!

The Suisse team preparing their vehicle to go up and running! Minutes to the grand finale!

Here's Joshua posing with one of my friends that i got to know from somewhere... well here he is at the Grandstand, here's Tan!

Here's none other than Lim... me posing here with him and the Xfresh Microphone! Mwahha.. why arr today i'm calling everyone by their family names! Mwhahahaah... i got to know this guy from somewhere oso! :P

Great Britain's A1 vehicle... its an awesome car with bright colors!

Team France is ready, and they did pretty well in this race!

One of the Umbrella models... err forgotten what are they called! Mwahha...

Team Germany if i am not mistaken... here they are!

Well, this was like at the peak of the race when it was about to start... the grandstand wasn't filled to the max...

Everyone's car was almost ready... let's just wait for the air horn to go off!

Team India getting ready... real soon!!!

I am not so sure which team this is, but should be New Zealand....

Team Ireland is in bright Green with Adam Carrol!!!

Here's the safety car again... right at the end of the race!

When else can i pose with this car!!! Now la!! Mwhaha... OMG i really wished i have this car!!!
