(Blog Update For 28th October 2007 and Onwards...)You must be thinking what kind of HAVOC that happened at McD's last weekend... Oh My GAWD! i tell you... it was really a BIG HAVOC! Well, other than our group of friends being the noisiest amongst all in McD's! All of a sudden... well it was actually the card game that we were playing! It's called HAVOC, thx to Joey for bringing it up...
Well actually was having dinner with Joey at Ikea, this was after oktoberfest at 1Utama with William, Patrick, Jonathan, Kevin and etc... so we decided to go to McD's and meet up with a few other friends aswell.
So all of us gathered (there's 11 of us tonight)... at McD's in Centerpoint and played HAVOC! First there was the introduction to the game and how to play it, the rules of engagement and all la! IT WAS A LOT OF FUN!
Anyways, thére's FUTSAL, PAINTBALL, HAVOC, Buffet LUNCH, LÓreal Biotherme Warehouse Sale, CLUB 21 (CK etc...) sale at JW Marriott and much more happening this weekend! Sigh... i just wish there's more than 24 hours in a day!
And oh yea... managed to meet up with a mutual friend of Joey and I... Herbert his name is! An old friend of ours that i haven't got the chance to meet up with him for ages now! More like since 2003... mwahahha!! Anyways, enjoy the photos below...
This photo was taken in the recording / editing studio... part of the Yamaha console that we have here.
My friends from the MyFM Ford Everest Team! Mun Kit, Wai Kit and Jinny! Was suppose to meet up with them today for a cross over but i had other stuffs to attend to :(
How many channels are there on this console... i'll let you guess!!!
Here's G, our production engineer, working on his MAC using a software called ProTools!
Recording studio with AKG Headphone and not sure what type of Mic's...
Mixing & Producing... how many speakers are there in this studio suite?
Just beside Studio 2 in Astro... the next biggest studio to Studio 1. This is one of the many Video Cameras used for broadcasting...
The War Just Started... and this is HAVOC!!! The Card Game...
You need at least 2 - 6 players for this game... it will be equally fun if you team up like me in a group of 3 :P
A group picture... you can spot Herbert looking into the camera in this picture! I haven't seen this dude for like 3 - 4 years already!!!
And the HAVOC game all started with Joey... coz he got the friggin game! I feel like robbing him! :P
Justin is just too hyper after he had the Strawberry Sundae from McD's...
Ok ok... now who's the chicken who's going to start the war... I bet its Jovyna!!!
Ok ok... now a little bit of explanation to play the game is necessary.. but Justin made us win the game by a few points!
Ah Wai... this dude won the HAVOC game... i can't believe it! by just one point!!!
What do we all have in common??? Well we're all HAVOCérs... especially Jovyna who called the first WAR! Yes.. i lost to her! :P
The enemy of my enemy is my friend... ermmm who was fighting who? anyways here's Kevin, Jovyna and YiMing!
Had lunch at Madam Kwan's with Jian... the food here is FRIGGIN ex!!! I still prefer Damansara Uptown Hainan Chicken Rice...
Guest how expensive is this Nasi Lemak??? Yes.. although they give rendang chicken and half an egg...
Ok, maybe the flower that they put on the table makes it a bit expensive...
Presentation overall was ok, too little rice i beleive... but oh well Madam Kwan's once in a while is ok la! :) OMG... i only have RM3 left in my wallet, how to drive back home...
Trapped in Sunway Pyramid Elevator...
(Blog Update For 28th October 2007)-[For those who are searching for pictures to view, please scroll down...pictures trapped in elevator are located after this looong blog entry]-Went for lunch at Subway in Sunway Pyramid 2 with Ashleighhhh, Ken Seong, Jay & Kevin... Subway's sandwiches are always best!!! There's no doubt about it! William came at the end and oh ya Thomas Yap was there too.
Anyways, we went around this awesome shopping mall and found some new shops / food outlets that can't be found elsewhere. Will feature those next time around but this update i'd like to talk more about us being trapped in the elevator at Sunway Pyramid when we were on our way back.
5.06PM Imagine being trapped in a square box, imagine being confined in there for hours, imagine being alone... well some people can barely survive this if they are claustrophobic. I was with Kevin and William in an elevator that was suppose to go up to level CP2 (this is where my car was parked)... suddenly upon arrival at the level, the door tried to open and it couldn't open and immediately got jammed up! We tried to open it from the inside by pressing on the open button but to no avail...
5.08PM We panicked a little bit as to why the elevator door didn't wanna open... well we pressed on the bell button to call for help and the operator asked us what happened. I explained to her clearly what had happened, where we are, our location and level. She said hold on and she'll send someone over to open the door.
5.23PM Fine, we waited patiently and 10 - 15 minutes has passed by. We felt very uneasy as there was nobody on the other side of the elevator trying to open the door and nobody from Sunway Pyramid security control room tried to reach for us. We called upon the operator again by pressing the bell button and she asked "are you still inside?"... OMG!!!
If we are still inside, we wouldn't be talking to her would we? haha... well she still kept on asking where we were and which elevator we were in... I told her that we were on Level CP2, the elevator door couldn't open and that we've been waiting in here for at least 15 minutes. She once again said that she will send someone over.
5.33PM 10 minutes later, i buzzed the security control room again and nobody replied... i looked at the back of my car park ticket and there's no number for Sunway Pyramid on it. I looked at the elevator walls and control panel there's no number to call in-case of emergency. OMG...what kind of shopping mall management is this???
5.44PM 10 minutes later...I didn't know what else to do...so i called my dad and he said he'll call the Emergency Response Team (ERT). So i gave the details of my whereabouts to him and his office made the call to the ERT moments later someone from the Fire Department called me and requested for a more specific location and the guy on the phone said that as we speak, there's already a team on their way to our location.
5.54PM Minutes later the Fire Engine arrived with a crew of 8 at the Sunway Pyramid 2 new wing entrance searching for us at that side of the mall. They couldn't find us as we were actually in the elevator in the old wing. It was my fault...should've told them that we were in the old wing as they were searching for us at the elevator area near the Starbucks Coffee at the new wing. Good thing that one of the firemen called me to find my exact location.
At this time, i believe the Security officers from Sunway Pyramid took a look at our situation as the Fire Engine was here and they didn't know who called them. The thing is, for them if the Fire Department is there on site, they would be in big trouble... because the fire guys only come in when there's big trouble! And this is BIG TROUBLE!
The Firemen came to our rescue, found out where we were - they were together with the rest of the Sunway Pyramid security officers (there were like 4 uniformed security guards, and 2 undercover bodyguards and 2 senior security executives / managers on site).
By this time, it was really hard to breath...as the amount of oxygen circulating inside the elevator was turning more into carbon dioxide than oxygen. The percentage of fresh air was really dropping like mad, most of us were perspiring at this time...
During this whole hour... we tried to entertain ourselves and keep us awake and to be rescued by talking, singing (songs like Negaraku, Tanggal 31)... and many more. We even did some stupid things like taking photos in the elevator, tried to shoot one another using our mobile phones, and looked at some videos on our phones.
I have to say that this was an experience and it really brought us around together more, we got to know one another more by getting the chance to talk about our lives and even our past and present.
6.14PM The Security officers and Firemen tried to open the elevator door from the outside, they were in contact with us via mobile phone and I alerted them using the bell situated inside the elevator. With the strength of 3 of us from the inside and many more of them from the outside, we managed to open the elevator door open together...
FINALLY We are SAFE!!! SAVED by the Firemen on site, Malaysia's #1 Emergency Response Team. Their response time for this event was really fast and efficient. Thank you to the Fire Department for saving our lives on this day, not forgetting the Security team from Sunway Pyramid.
I have to say one last thing... Sunway Pyramid should improve in their security and maintenance. They should at least place an emergency number / direct number to contact their Security Control Room from the elevator (although there's already the intercom and bell inside the elevator), an elevator number should be placed inside as well as the operator kept on asking me what elevator i am in but i couldn't tell her as there was no number on the inside. They should be able to tell from which elevator the emergency bell button was triggered from. What happened? Seriously... if the Firemen didn't come, i believe that we would've been out there trapped longer...
Wanna eat fresh sandwiches and eat right? Come on over to Subway!!!
Kevin and Jay both wearing all black... mwahha!!! Anyways, the food was awesome!
Ken was here too! He made it all the way here to meet up with me again! thx bro :-)
Looks like someone is searching for some pocket money...
The new shopping mall has an anchor tenant which is Jusco! Awesome... we have Jusco and Parkson under the same roof?
The information screen is actually a plasma screen TV! So sometimes it would be showing the directory, sometimes video presentations.
Ahh.. did i tell you that both these guys participated in a charity contest...on stage! Mwahah..
Ok i don't have a wide angle lens or what... so this was what i could get from here! Was too lazy anyways...
OMG... we're STUCKED!!! Trapped in the elevator...
We were so bored, waiting for the Sunway Pyramid people to come... so we sat on the floor tried to calm ourselves down!
We still could find the time to take pictures together... the door tried to open on its own but couldn't!
We did some stupid things like taking this small little padlock and locking William's shoes together! Mwhaha... we even sang Negaraku and Tanggal 31!
And we eventually gone crazy... like this one where i imagined that my phone is a gun and tried to ask William to put his hands up and about to arrest him!
And in the end after waiting for an hour... we were dead bored!
1 hour and 10minutes...trapped in the elevator! The door opened with the Fire & Rescue Team in front of our eyes who had rescued us! Thank you Firemens!!!
We thank you Fire Department & Rescue Team... not forgetting the people from Sunway Pyramid for locating us and saving us from this elevator! Now, remember... if you're in an emergency and only if it is an
EMERGENCY, the number to call is 999!
Re-visiting KLIA and Pavilion...
(Blog Update For Like... Pavilion... AGAIN???)You must be saying... "Shaz can't be serious right... going to Pavilion again and again..." Well yea, others may say that the parking at Pavilion is expensive. And i totally agree... but there's a trick to it... you can just park opposite at Starhill Gallery / JW Marriott Hotel which is only RM5 per entry on Saturdays and Sundays. Not many people know about this... so yea!!!
Anyways, was with KJ, Albert, Fazri, Stephen, Rachel, Jack, William and Michael on this day here at Bukit Bintang. KJ was having some photoshoot going on with Albert and Fazri. Whereby the rest of us went to J.Co Donuts for some DONUTS! What else...let's have a look at the photos!!!
But, before we go into the photos for today, let's re-visit the past with some of the coolet photos that i've posted here... which was taken from the GROUND itself, at Kuala Lumpur International Airport upon the maiden flight by JetSTAR here in Malaysia. I was allowed to go on the tarmac and take awesome photos of the aircraft... this was like one of the most AWESOME experience i've ever had here at KLIA.
This is the tail of the aircraft, the sun just set moments ago...
The aircraft which is only 2 weeks old just docked at the gate... the sound of the engine whirring was awesome!
The team is about to go into place once the aircraft has been secured and locked into its location.
JetSTAR now flies from KLIA and you can expect a different kind of service onboard compared to AirAsia. The difference is more than just them being Australian...
Meet the cabin crew of JetSTAR... a multi-ethnic crew prepared to serve passengers onboard this flight...filled with smile and enthusiasm!
Is he the yo-yo king? He is...!!! This guy has been so dedicated to his yo-yo career ever since... a decade ago!
Dunno why cannot talk about all this evil stuff! Maybe Dr. Evil should do so!
First time for Stephen and Rachel to tryout J.Co Donuts!!!
Awesome donuts that you will need some napkins for those dripping ooey cream!
Mr. Albert of Glaring Notebook, also my colleague here at the office @ Astro...
My favourite dish, everytime i'm here at Winter Warmers... i will always order this DEEP Fried Garlic Chicken.
It has this really nice garlic aroma and the pasta carries a taste that's just so natural with olive oil.
One of THE BEST waffles in town with Ice-Cream and Whipped Cream.
Each of these waffle cost about RM9.90 i think... not so sure but it's WORTH IT!
And here's Elaine eating her ice-cream!
