The Faces of Penang (Day 3 - Part 1)
(Blog Update For 8th July 2006)Woke up to a bright sun shiny morning, really nice...the weather here is fantastic...the sunrise is just magnificent.
Once again, here's the continuation to my journey of being on holiday here in Penang. Samuel was the one whom i mostly took photos of this time...since Jared was camera shy (he loved the roti bakar).
As usual, we were by the poolside after breakfast cause Jared wanted to swim for a bit, while waiting Sam and I took a few shots of some cool faces! Love these shots, if you love 'em too shout at ME!!!
TEASER: Here's another teaser to get you started and hyped up on more archictecture and historical sites of Penang coming up real soon!!!
TEASER: Here's something that will get you excited for the next blog update tomorrow!!!
Here's a TEASER of what you'd be expecting next from my blog update.
Curiosity Kills...i simply love this photo!!!
Found this little boy by the side of the swimming pool playing with real DUST / SAND that on the floor.
Samuel enjoying his holiday here in Penang aswell...but hey...can't ride in a beca as they'd kill you to the max on the beca bills.
I love these, in Malay its "buah mata kucing". I wonder why they still call them by that name.
Cendol and ABC are somewhat similar but still the Cendol is a delicacy mostly drank in the afternoon.
Ever wanted to try the REAL Penang Mamak Cendol...here it is nearby Penang Bazaar.
The mamak stall that sells really yummy toast bread (ala ancient style), and half boiled eggs...
We also had Roti Bakar with half boiled egg at the mamak...
We had what the locals here call "Takua Rendang", it's a local delicacy...something that they'd even eat for breakfast i believe.
Penang is more than just a holiday (Day 2)
(Blog Update For 7th July 2006)(Here's a teaser to what you can expect in my next blog update, i will be uploading pictures which has some face expressions on them and perhaps some portrait or things with meanings such as this one on the top right corner.
The first day that we roamed around town...woke up very early on this day (i really have no idea why), but something struck me to do the right thing on this day!!!
Had a really nice breakfast at the hotel, then went to the Swimming Pool where i took some photos of the scenery and the area. As usual Jared went straight into the pool and swim. He couldn't wait...
Later on in the day I went to Fitness First Island Plaza just to have a feeling how its like being in this gym. Well, what i can say is that cleanliness here inside the shower stalls is not as how i'd imagine it'd be.
A side angle view of the Gurney Hotel...Anything is possible for this 5 star rated hotel with 2 Bedroom Suites that no other hotels in Penang has.
Woke up quite early in the morning @ 7.30am in the morning and here's a shot of the view from te 29th floor (Jack said that weather conditions on this day is that it's gonna be hazy in Penang).
Something i really like about the swimming pool is that it has no border / fences...so when you swim it's as if you're going to swim into the sea..
Part of the facilities here that they have at the Gurney Hotel is Archery. Interesting isn't?
What games do you want to play? Well if you think Penang is going to be boring for you, fret not...we have it all here at Gurney Hotel.
A Hotel without a GYM, impossible...well Gurney Hotel has it all.
This was what I had for breakfast, Japanese fish, Omelette, Pastries, Fried Rice, Potato Wedges, Beef Bacon, Fruits with Yogurt and all.
Breakfast is the main important meal of the day, isn't true?
Guess what...i was on the road driving to town area...and found this Metrobus with the Xfresh sticker all around it!!! Wahh felt so PROUD!!!
Island Plaza, i thougth it would be a rundown place but no its not - actually its so classy and high class that it's almost the equivalent to KL's version of MidValley or sumthin...
Couldn't really take photos of the insides of the gym...so this was a really hush hush thing!!!
Whoa...they serve SARSI here @ Fitness First Island Plaza. Goodness me...!!!
