Xmas '06 Countdown @ Starhill

(Blog Update Midnight of 24th December 2006)

We were at Starhill Gallery on Jalan Bukit Bintang for Xmas eve celebration right after we had our dinner at California Pizza Kitchen.

What a day...we didn't know that people were celebrating Xmas here on Bukit Bintang itself. Thought that it was going to be a quiet night, but as soon as we got out of starhill everyone was spraying foam and all!!! Wahhh...thought that this only happens on New Year's eve! :P

Anyways - do enjoy the photos below, and once again Merry Christmas!!! Mwahhaha...Work has been killing me lately, going to go to sleep now.

Before i end my post for today - i'd like to thank everyone for the lovely Xmas gifts i received. Thanks to Jack, Scott, Jo, Tonyyy, Mikel, Steph, Cherrie, etc etc everyone!!!!! So sorry there's so many to name :) - You know who you are! :)

Xmas Eve Dinner 2006

(Blog Update For 24th December 2007)

This year, we had our Christmas Eve Dinner at California Pizza Kitchen @ KLCC. What an awesome place to have a sit with a bunch of close friends and catchup on the old times. For this night there were 10 of us there... Namely...Jack, June, Prema, Hao Wei, Mikel, Damion, Albert, Jo, Tony and myself. Made a nice reservation for 10pax at CPK KLCC and we all made it just on time. - Not forgetting Penny and Scott who came in a lil' bit later.

Awesome time of the year to actually shop around for Xmas presents for friends and get presents too!!! Honestly, i didn't intent to get so many Xmas presents this year but i was more than lucky!!! Thanks to my friends, thank you so much to y'all for all the presents. I shall not name who gave me who but the pictures are below and in the upcoming update.

Me posing with most of the presents that i received this year, the presents are too small compared to me so kinda hard to see rite :P

Received a lovely gift with a message engraved on it. Quite meaningful and it's been a great help as i always need a pen to sign off my bills.

I love this pen as it carries a really meaningful message on it engraved to its body - My name engraved on one side, and initials on the other side etc...

A small group of us here taking a group shot, where did the rest go? oh ya...you'll see their photos on the next upcoming update.

Some of the other presents that I got and some that i bought and packed up to give away.

Quite a nice scent for a perfume created by a footballer :P - 3rd time i'm getting a perfume as a present! Thank you so much!!! :)

Body Shop OF A MAN - really nice body wash, if you were to get something for yourself from Body Shop do get this!!!

I'd like to make a special mention - Thanks to Iwan for giving this After Dinner Mint for us...shared it on this Xmas Eve Dinner night with the rest at CPK.

One of the many pizza's we ordered on this night. Santa Fe Chicken Pizza.

From Left: Hao Wei, Jack and Myself - acting like big strong people...mwhaah!!!

From Left: Prema, Me, Albert and Mikel. While seated down at CPK, albert had to stand up.

My favourite Jamaican Jerk Chicken Pizza - do try this on its normal bread dough.

Ivan and his girlfriend...forgotten her name!!! Ivan is my neighbour here.

As Jack always say...during this time of the year..."Happy Blessed Christmas"...Thanks bro! thanks for your guidance, advices and being there for the ups and downs. Hope you like your present! Ho Ho Ho...Merry Christmas!!!

Scott together with his Xmas present. Unfortunately he couldn't join us earlier for the dinner. But hey...he made it with Penny!!! It was a great and fun night, Xmas 2006 celebrations couldn't have been better by celebrating it with a bunch of close friends!

Bugis Junction & Street

(Blog Update For 20th December 2006)

Bugis Junction is a shopping mall at the MRT station "BUGIS", not only houses brands like FCUK, TOPMAN TOP SHOP and many more...well in comparison to what we have here in Malaysia i'd say Bugis Junction is somewhat like a mixture of Sg. Wang and BB Plaza i'd say.

Beside this place, there's Bugis Street (for a night shot of Bugis Street, JackSQ has a nice shot of that on his blog) - somewhat a flee market something like our version of Petaling Street but in a more organised manner. There's proper shoplots / stalls for each merchant and you can find alot of counterfeit products and cheap t-shirts, jackets, pants, jerseys and caps (branded stuffs). Original or Pirated, i have no idea...but stuffs at Bugis Junction (the mall) are definately original!!!

Once again, i'd have to say their public transport here are very efficient. I actually walked from Bugis Junction to Sim Lim Square (the Singapore version of Low Yat Plaza). Well you can go to almost anywhere in town via MRT and BUS. Sadly, their public transport here does not open until later than 11.30 at night. The buses are only till midnight i believe unless we talk bout the buses on Friday and Saturday nights if im not mistaken - the Singapore Government and public transport thingy...recently launched some night bus thing to take people back home. Not really sure what its all about tho...

Bugis Street where its sumthin like our version of Petaling Street.

Everything here is so organised and you can actually walk around here safely.

Any one has any idea wat Lau Pa Sat means? - wanted to try it out but service was quite bad or it just me, i couldn't speak chinese so they didn't entertain me.

Another pic of this bubble drink...totally forgotten what its all about, check out JackSQ's blog for more info bout sweettalk.

Awesome Dawsom...buses!!! Its double decker, its CLEAN, and its NICE!!!

Well maintained and serviced public buses!!! Don't think they'd ever see a bus which is on tow or what like here in Malaysia.

Thai Coconut drink...seems to be everywhere along this Bugis Street area!!!

I tried one myself, same thing like coconut drink but its different in a way!!!

I didn't have the chance to try this out...some sort of Japanese fast food nearby the exit of the BUGIS mrt.

Guess what i saw when i looked up inside Bugis Street...it was a GIANT fan!!! Here's a close-up!!

Burlington Square - I had Burger King for lunch the last time i came here last year.
