Bugis Junction & Street

(Blog Update For 20th December 2006)

Bugis Junction is a shopping mall at the MRT station "BUGIS", not only houses brands like FCUK, TOPMAN TOP SHOP and many more...well in comparison to what we have here in Malaysia i'd say Bugis Junction is somewhat like a mixture of Sg. Wang and BB Plaza i'd say.

Beside this place, there's Bugis Street (for a night shot of Bugis Street, JackSQ has a nice shot of that on his blog) - somewhat a flee market something like our version of Petaling Street but in a more organised manner. There's proper shoplots / stalls for each merchant and you can find alot of counterfeit products and cheap t-shirts, jackets, pants, jerseys and caps (branded stuffs). Original or Pirated, i have no idea...but stuffs at Bugis Junction (the mall) are definately original!!!

Once again, i'd have to say their public transport here are very efficient. I actually walked from Bugis Junction to Sim Lim Square (the Singapore version of Low Yat Plaza). Well you can go to almost anywhere in town via MRT and BUS. Sadly, their public transport here does not open until later than 11.30 at night. The buses are only till midnight i believe unless we talk bout the buses on Friday and Saturday nights if im not mistaken - the Singapore Government and public transport thingy...recently launched some night bus thing to take people back home. Not really sure what its all about tho...

Bugis Street where its sumthin like our version of Petaling Street.

Everything here is so organised and you can actually walk around here safely.

Any one has any idea wat Lau Pa Sat means? - wanted to try it out but service was quite bad or it just me, i couldn't speak chinese so they didn't entertain me.

Another pic of this bubble drink...totally forgotten what its all about, check out JackSQ's blog for more info bout sweettalk.

Awesome Dawsom...buses!!! Its double decker, its CLEAN, and its NICE!!!

Well maintained and serviced public buses!!! Don't think they'd ever see a bus which is on tow or what like here in Malaysia.

Thai Coconut drink...seems to be everywhere along this Bugis Street area!!!

I tried one myself, same thing like coconut drink but its different in a way!!!

I didn't have the chance to try this out...some sort of Japanese fast food nearby the exit of the BUGIS mrt.

Guess what i saw when i looked up inside Bugis Street...it was a GIANT fan!!! Here's a close-up!!

Burlington Square - I had Burger King for lunch the last time i came here last year.
