Bienvenue chez VIL'AGE
(Blog Update For 19th December 2006)I didn't know that this was coming right at me...A first glance into this new 'restaurant'...makes me think of 'Marche Movenpick'...yes!!! Actually Village is a french word for "Village" - duh..the pronounciation is different but the meaning still remains the same.
The food here at Vil'age is almost the same as what you can get at Marche - except that the way they cook it, the utensils they use and etc is different than what you see at Marche. As for example, at marche you see them cooking the rosti individually - but at Vil'age they cook it in one large big pan where after they finish cooking - it will be divided into four different portions. Cool huh!!!
One thing i have to say, this place is a complete copy-cat of Marche Movenpick. Don't trust me...go out there and have a look at it for yourself. Yes certain representations can be different but the whol entire thing looks the same. This restaurant actually takes up the old place where the previous marche movenpick was in the same building. Now Marche Movenpick is available at Suntec City Mall and i'm not too sure where else...
Welcome to Vil'age restaurant...want a piece of it??? Students gets 15% discount on weekdays before 5pm.
special fruit juice of the day a mixture of Carrot and Apple juice is only $2 dollars.
Grilled Dory was what i had for lunch...not bad!!!
It's layout and design reminds me so much of Marche Movenpick.
Raw Oysters - It's best when they bake it in the oven with cheese ontop...
What a weird design for urinals...its round and no partitions? Looks like a hole for rocket launchers :P
Was at Robinsons...i'd say that this department store is something like our version of Metrojaya here in Malaysia or Isetan.
The Old Chang Kee is Singapore's #1 street food where you can find it almost everywhere, fingerfood such as curry puffs, fried squid head and baby octopus...yummylicious!!
Here's Iwan...thinking about where can we go right after this...where arrr???
Perhaps we should just walk around Orchard...
But then again, Paul is always thinking of other things - rather than walking, we should run!!!
