Shang-Ri La Hotel: Putrajaya

(Blog Update For 19th October 2006)

So here it is...the continuation for the update that i was suppose to do like a few days ago but got held back with work. Dang...anyways i could still feel the "fullness" in my stomach from last night's dinner with colleagues at Marche Movenpick in The Curve.

Anyways - this buffet dinner at Shang-Ri La Hotel Putrajaya was with Jo and Jack - we went there for the special Ramadhan Buffet offer that Jo offered to us and it was too good to be true and we just couldn't resist it. Have fun looking at the pictures!!!

We visited the hotel - from outside to inside...and here's the ballroom counter :P

The eating part was fun :P Jack's playing with the shrimps as Jo makes our day by making us laugh so so so MUCH!!!

Simply aphrodisiac...well you know la what they say about mussels :P

Fruits and seafood...don't really mix well!!! But hey, i love keeping the mussels chilled!

For those of you who are planning to visit Malaysia, here's some local delicacies that you'll want to try!

More and more food...we ate from 7pm - 11.30pm that night at Shang-Ri La Putrajaya!!!

Ever wanted to try fruit cakes with more fruits? well Jack took this picture of a fruit cake with more kiwi's on top :P

Didn't know this before but each level at the hotel has a different theme - thus the lowest floor being called "earth".

This is so making me hungry right now...

The macaroni was ok but a little bit too hard and not "al-dente". Sauce was ok but the beef was too hard to chew on.

At that point of time, it was only a few more days till its Hari Raya. But now...in present time it's more like Xmas :P

I still prefer Jogoya for this matter!!!

A variety to mix from...and it's never enough!!!

Can't remember what was this exactly!!!

These lights are quite unique...the design and all - thanks to Jack for taking the photo!

The all new "BLUE LOUNGE" which is actually part of some eating / dining area of the hotel.

Always wanted to take a mirror image picture, but Jack got to do it before i did as he portrays this photo with mirror image on a nice black marble table!

Bernard Chandran in Fashion

(Blog Update For 22nd November 2006)
What a day...just came back from Bernard Chandran's launch party for his new flagship boutique with new cncept and style. In conjunction with the Malaysian International Fashion Week 2006 happening on 23rd November onwards...I was invited to attend the cocktail reception party held at the gallery itself.

This time around, my colleagues Mei and Orange joined me for a fabulous evening accompanied by great food and company. Jack was suppose to come over with us for this evening but he wasn't able to make it as he had some stuffs to finish up...i guess exam is near eh! - Oh ya Andrew's Models were there too :P

This new flagship boutique reopened its doors with style and epic revamp. With an uber modern touch of retro chic - did you know that this boutique covers up four shop lots on the 2nd floor of KL Plaza?

The exhibition here is more of a Metropolitan Museum of Arts kinda gallery but which also meets up with Malaysia's Prince of Fashion. This premier exhibition features the above theme whereby Bernard Chandran featured a display of his creative concept, the retrospective explores Bernard Chandran's archives and contribution to fashion over the last 15 years.

There are two ends of this catwalk - where models would walk from one side to the other, i find this design great as it sets the focus of the audiences at two different locations - thus making it easier for audiences to view what's going on.

Bernard Chandran himself...featuring his 15 years of contribution towards the fashion industry - do drop by to visit his gallery and boutique.

Ready to wear collection @ Bernard Chandran.

Ready to wear collection @ Bernard Chandran (Totally Malaysian designed...)

Ready to wear collection @ Bernard Chandran (Ready for a new change in your wardrobe?).

Evening wear or going to the poolside??? - Your choice...

Some of the Andrew's Models were also there to officiate the event and dress up in Bernard Chandran's latest designs...

Of course - what's a party without the food. There are other pictures of the meatballs, sausages, cakes and all...but couldn't take a picture of it due to very low lighting.

Mussels and Spicy Wingz chicken - food are catered from Planet Hollywood.

Mei & Orange - my colleagues from Marketing who are interning here at Xfresh. Well the new flaship boutique is situated on the busy street of Kuala Lumpur @ Jalan Bukit Bintang - if translated onto English its "Star Hill".

Met a few of my friends here tonight at the event, Soo Aun - my fitness trainer at Fitness First Menara John Hancock was there too.

A Journey Not Too Far Away...

(Blog Update For 19th October 2006)

Sometimes, people travel far for their friends, family, and there are times that we travel far for cheap and tasty food. But this time around...we went somewhere quite far out from the Capital City for some nice local Malaysian delicacies and time out with a friend.

Not going to tell you where Jack and I went for Break-fast this time around...well you just gotta try to guess...i bet by the end of this 1st post you'll soon find out without even me spelling it all out to you!!!

This picture was nicely taken by Jack, the place that we went...had some ancient table games that was placed for guests to play with...(where is this place???)

Breakfast buffet...buka puasa!!! They have Fettucini Carbonara...where is this place?

Chilled seafood? Are these part of Malaysian local delicacies??? Let's find out....where is this place?

This place has spa room that has names....where is it???

Seafood on the rock...being chilled here waiting for customers to eat...

Ahh...now here's the biggest clue of the day!!! Can you see who that is??? She's wearing black and has a pin on her vest! Which corporate "uniform" is this?
