Singapore, the HUB, the CENTER and the HISTORY
(Blog Update For My Singapore Trip)Singapore has more than what you can imagne it can offer. Other than all the fashion, hi-tech and modern stuffs you can see...it still retains its historic features and classic appearances.
My trip to Singapore was very much inspired by Jack who went there quite a few times last year for his relatives weddings. I usually just go to Singapore once a year either for work purposes or just a short holiday. But this time around, taking photos in Singapore and experiencing new stuffs is so much FUN! Looking at all the brands that we don't have here in Malaysia, big corp's and companies (clothings, jewelleries...etc) that setup their shops here in Malaysia is just so awesome. Thanks to Jack for sharing his testimonies about his cool trip to Singapore...hopefully many others (Malaysians) would take a trip down to Singapore and see it from another perspective.
In the midst of all the classy looking buildings, there's the Singapore River and several Quay's around it. One of them is called Clarke Quay, that one the update will be done sometime soon as i visited the quay late at night. The one that i visited was the BOAT QUAY.
They still maintain old boats that surrounds the river here and there...you can also take a ride in the boat to travel from one side of the town to the other. Well there's more than that...Singapore is filled with surprises. I've only visited a few places, but hey just imagine what i can do by staying here for a week or two. Covered quite a lot of places for only 3nites and 4days!
Amazing travel destinations...enjoy the pictures below!
Skyscrapers reaching out to the sky...
The esplanade...some say that this is the "durian building". Well at night - this place lights up superbly!!!
Ever heard of Green is the New Blue, or White is the new Black?
Proof to show you that you can actually take a ride in one of these...
BOAT QUAY also houses many pubs and night life part of Singapore.
Latest designs of buildings vs antiques by the quay side. What a remarkable experience!
This used to be the main head office for Singapore's Post Office. Well that was way back in the colonnial days...now its known as THE FULLERTON HOTEL. One of the most expensive hotel's in Singapore.
One thing about Singapore i LIKE is their designs, architecture, the buildings with shiny windows just like in Vegas.
An old Victorian Lounge Bar exists right here in Singapore's very own BOAT QUAY.
The Fullerton Hotel houses many of the great International Artists who came down here for the MTV Asia Awards in 2004. Awesome place to stay...
An Artistic Impression...right in the middle of town. The CBD here is always filled with people at any time of the day.
The Cavenagh bridge is just right outside the Fullerton Hotel. Even the police gave away some warnings to drivers...
Fitness First Plus
(Blog Update For 20th December 2006)Fitness First Plus does NOT exist here in Malaysia. However, what are the major differences between Fitness First Plus and the normal Fitness First 'executive' club.
Well, first and foremost Fitness First Plus which is widely available in many other countries (not Malaysia unfortunately)...well they provide towel service free of charge wherelse here in Malaysia you have to pay RM20 for an upgrade to Gold Membership which allows you for the towel service. Not forgetting Fitness First Plus provides you with your workout attire, that's sports shorts and sports shirt / tshirt. The only thing that you have to bring is your sports shoes. They even provide you with branded deodorant, branded hair gel / mousse, cottonbuds, cotton and all the other usual stuffs that you get here at Fitness First.
Fitness First Plus also features an edgeless swimming pool where you may swim in (quite big in size) and they also provide some sort of a machine that drains the water from your swim attire after swimming.
The cubicles in which you take your shower here are more classier than the usual. Drinks and all are the same. I have more photos taken in the inside of Fitness First Plus and the executive club Fitness First Paragon - which i'll feature these by Monday (as the photos are not here with me).
Fitness First Plus in Singapore - there's only 3 branches and they are at One George Street, Capital Tower and OUB Centre. There are only 2 Fitness First 'executive' club which are located at The Cathay and Paragon. The latest addition to the "Fitness First" club in singapore which will be opened by 31st January 2007 will be at Raffles Quay which will be branded as a "Fitness First (Platinum) Club". This platinum club features many great new attractive features, but one of them is "Cinefit Cardio Entertainment Zone" - it's like working out at the movies...whereby members can workout on a range of cardio machines in a dark room while watching movies on a large screen! - So is this a cinema hall or a fitness centre?
Now...the question is in Malaysia we have the normal Fitness First clubs...when are we going to move on to the next level with Fitness First Plus and Platinum?
This is the "One George Street" building which is located on George Street itself.
Singapore's Central Business District.
Ever got lost here...have a look at the Map Plan of the building.
Here's a view of the city from Level 5 of One George Street.
Better pictures with great sceneries and views of the city from my camera phone will be updated soon.
A random piece of art which can signify quite a lot of things.
Guess what...i finally found the Satchi & Satchi office here in Singapore.
