CAMP 5 - Rock Climbing at its best!!!

(Blog Update For 5th July 2006)

Great day for all 3 of us as work is no longer just about sitting by the desk at the office and write reports and proposals all day long. Now its a mixture of entertainment and sports. Yes, at Xfresh we get the pleasure of going to CAMP 5 for free this once...to try out Rock Climbing.

Jack, William and I went for a free session of Rock Climbing yesterday at CAMP 5 (yes it's part of our job to meet clients, say hi and thanks for the trial). Anyways...it was awesome. Met up with Kevin, Vinee and Melisa at CAMP 5. It was a bigger group la...we all started cheering for each other to climb up to the top (thanks to all of you guys for making me feel that i can do it)

Jumping Jack

Yes, at first i thought that i couldn't push myself up to the top, well the trick here is simply push up using your legs and pull gently using your hands. Make all your leg muscles do the work for you.

Spiderman William

We got the chance to try out different types and styles of climbing with our friend Shakur who even belayed me and both of us were floating in the air when i let go of one of the rocks and didn't have any more grips after that.

All in all, it was an awesome trip...i would definately go there again - at first i thought with my weight and all i couldn't do all these, but hey i managed to pull through all the obstacles which is just AMAZING.

PS: I'm off to Penang now, will only be back on Sunday...will take lots of pictures there!!! But i'll be on Wi-Fi at night time...will try to update daily if i can.

Safety First - Protection is better than...you know la. So here Shakur is putting on the harness for us. Ensuring that everything is secured before we could go on any rides. Posted by Picasa

Don't worry about safety, because at any one time the marshall will be there to assist you and cover your back. Even if you fall, the white mats are there to protect you from any injuries. Posted by Picasa

Some unpredictable things can happen...yes William started floating around and he was heavier than Shakur so with the gravitational force and etc...sort of pulled Shakur up flying too (sorry didnt manage to get a pic of both of them floating). Posted by Picasa

William getting his 8 knot rope tighten to his harness. Don't worry...safety first here. I felt really safe today with our "support group"... Posted by Picasa

Cheer 2006 (Day 2)

(Blog Update For 2nd July 2006)

Another day...its a Sunday and im working on this day..WHY WHY WHY...???
I should've asked myself this question...why can't other people work on this day aswell?

All the pictures in this update were taken by JACK (except for those pictures that he's in it of course...) So ya, great pictures actually i have to say...love the angles and compositions for an amateur.

Now here's a video you should see for yourself of Dennis performing LIVE here at the Cheer 2006.

Anyways...its great to cover events as i get to meet some of my old friends and make new friends aswell. The competition gets HOTTER by the day...15 teams left to go into the championships rounds!!! Who's the winner...???

Today its just me, Ying Roe and Jack who were here to cover the event. We had to wear our CREW shirts as the minister was coming over and we wanted to show Xfresh's support in covering this event and show our faces.

That's about it for this event, hope to see you all more often and come visit here back again real soon!!!
