Ask and You Shall Receive...

(Reviewing the published past...ask & you shall receive!)

Now you probably would be asking by now who asked for such a past published photos... well i did! Cause currently i am sick! High Fever... I'm going to go home now, can't work... so yea! Do call me up if you need anything urgently!

Besides from that, just ask me, and if i can help...i for sure will give! :) But hey, anyhows...what can someone do to help change the world! Well for sure we can't be doing everything and expect that we change the world to make it a better place in one night! But hey, its what an accumulated number of people does that can make a difference, yes...if we all start doing something good! We all can make a difference! Thus... any Act of Random Kindness (ARK) would do the trick! You can do it, so can i... so let's try and help as many people and things that surround us!

Apple launches new iMAC!

(Blog Update For August 2007)

Here i will share some tips & infos not forgetting advices on what to look for and the DO's and DONT's in a Media Conference / Press Briefing. Not to worry if it's your first Media Event... you'll get used to it!

Yes it's been a while but hey i was there for the media launch of the new iMAC, iLIFE07 and iWORK07! I tell you... right after this PC ended i was so into iMAC's and brainwashed like mad! I really want one right now!

The new iMAC's has loads of feature...those i shall reveal when i post more pics of the new iMAC's! I love the features that they have in the new iWORK07, like in the software "numbers" which is their version of MS Excel! Well...there's loads that this machine and its SW's can do for you!

Not forgetting the new iMAC's can run on 2 OS's. Yes there's like 2 different partitions... so you can run on Microsoft Windows & Apple OS. I asked a question to tha guy... the user gets a Virus when he's running the Windows OS will it affect the Apple side of the partition...he said NOT TO WORRY :) Hehe.. now i want an iMAC!

The press briefing room...where our friend from Apple South East Asia introduces us to the many features of the new HW & SW's. The seating on this day for the members of the press were quite casual! So don't worry...just sit anywhere you want! The briefing was divided into 2 sessions. Morning was more technical...so meant for those media who are on the technical aspects, afternoon was more for lifestyle!

You're allowed to take photos, but try to limit it and wait till the end of the briefing. A photo during the presentation is ok, to show the "presentation" part of the conference.

You may ask for permission to take pics of their products, should do so but they are more than happy to let you take pics of em! Go ahead and go at every angle... take your time, they're here to make sure that you have everything you need. Don't hesitate to ask them to demonstrate how the machine works or even open parts of its compartment.

Don't be bored during the presentation... these vital informations are for your own good aswell, so don't miss out on this!

The keyboard is so slim and trendy! Awesome keyboard...wat say you?

The new iMAC with black contour design, slick keyboard... and embedded webcam onto the monitor.

This is how slim the keyboard is... don't think twice! Just get it! Its smooth and steady...

The buttons are so smooth and the keyboard won't move an inch...!

This is the Living Room - at Westin Hotel on Jalan Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur... of course when there's a press conference, there's good food for each and everyone of us. But this also depends on each PR agency, their clients budget and the location of the press briefing. So far Rantau PR's events has given me GREAT impressions about their clients and their staffs! They know how to give a great impact on their events although its just a press conference, and they do it with pride!

The buffet spread here at Westin is awesome! Previous Apple Malaysia Press Conference was held at Maya Hotel...food was awesome too!

Imported cheese served for you!~

Appetizers are refilled even when its not finished! Quality, Appearance & Taste...

I made up the name of this dish...its an appetizer... certainly a great one, without doubt!

Although what you may see here is so simple, but the taste makes a great difference, the chef's here at Westin hotel goes to great length in getting great ingredients imported from far far away!

The appetizers are on a separate table, they also served sandwiches, soups, and many more...

Tomato Salad with cheese on top! I love this dish!

Not particularly sure what this is but its for sure something that is delectable!

This is the orange cake that was served at the press conference area together with other sandwiches and food served for the members of the media to eat after the briefing.

Now, here are the Do's and Dont's in a media conference / briefing.
Do not talk on the phone... that's simple...if you really need to, do go outside of the hall and excuse yourself. Put your phone on silent mode. If let's say you're in a round table interview with an International artist. This means that you're with other members of the media in the same room or international media. Usually this hapens when there's a time constraint and all, so to accomodate to everyone... The PR agency / recording label will have a round table interview to accomodate about 4 - 8 different media members in the same room.

You'll probably have about 15 minutes of interview with this artist in a round table interview. The most you'd get is 20 minutes, or if they're generous enough 30 minutes is the max. This is only for print and online media. If you're a broadcast media like TV and radio, you may be able to get a separate slot.

Try not to hog the artist...this means, don't ask 1 questions after the other... prepare a set of 10 questions, you may find your questions relate / the same to other members of the press...so your questions may be answered faster than usual. So yea... what you do is... ask one question, the next question you may ask after other members of the media has had their chance to ask a question to ther personality. If no questions are raised by the members of the media, you may proceed to your questions. But please do remember to give some time and space for other media to ask their questions. Remember to keep the questions related to your article, nothing personal... don't ask questions like "hey im having a b'day party this weekend, would you sing for me a bday song...or come to my party"...leave that out! More tips coming up soon, but now its time for me to go back home!

Free food is awesome...so go indulge in it! While you still can... hehe... The food i had on this day was great and it was free! Great way to taste food at a hotel...but anyhows, do tune in to the station to listen to some of the reviews that i make of all these events / product launches!
