Deena turns 23...

(Blog Update For 5th March 2006)

It was Deena's birthday on the 29th February, unfortunately this year is not one of those year that has 29th february on it as it only falls every 4 years. Deena has been busy celebrating her birthday with family and others...so she took sunday off from all her other appointments just to be with us to celebrate her birthday.

We met up at Chili's 1Utama, had a very late lunch there as i was late for the lunch...well, we had late lunch and couldn't really finish it all up as we had unlimited free refills for the drinks there. Yes, at the end of the day...ended up drinking more juices than eating food. What a waste...

Right after that, we decided to go for a walk...passed by "Shell F1 Roadshow" at the ground floor of highstreet at 1Utama New Wing. I played one of the games...they asked me to name the song that is being played in the background as they have the sound of engine revving...so the mixture of the engine sound and song in the background makes it kinda hard to tell what song is being played. They gave me a list of 6 songs and told me to name the song that was being played at the time. It was so easy... being the guy in the music / entertainment and broadcast industry...i straightaway knew what song was it that was being played in the background.

Won a voucher for a relaxing foot massage, rejuvenating wet face towel and refreshing ice cold mineral water (hence the 3R's that Shell is trying to promote).

Right after that, one of the Shell promoters asked me to take part in one of their stage games that's about to take place at 6pm...it was a "commentating" game where I have to commentate the F1 race that is taking place on the plasma screen (it's a recorded race) so, they will give each contestant the script so we just have to talk and talk and talk...

Altogether, there were only 3 contestants including myself. The first contestant was quite ok la...but he didn't have that "DJ / MC kinda voice"...second contestant he was quite bad (hey, im being honest here...), and lastly it was my turn to commentate the race...whoa...every1 was so impressed (no, im not trying to boast or what here)...but yes, i've been emcee'ing 8TV's birthday bash, karnival sure heboh and other events too...got the mic, did a mic check and whoaa!!! I won RM 50 petrol voucher from Shell.

Great day, great rewards, great time spent with friends :)
